Does anyone have RLS while sitting? I have the solution!

All you have to do is to raise your knee as rapidly as you can 40 times every 15 minutes. If you do that before the RLS starts, it will prevent it from ever happening. If you do it after RLS starts, it will fail. Please let me know how this works for you.

I have broken my jaw twice, my TV dinner is all over the office floor, and there are 2 white coated men at the front door. But my restless legs certainly aren't bothering me at the moment. 🤡

I used to get rls when sitting, now just at night in bed. I read in another forum that a woman had not had rls in the car and she thought it was because of the cushion she sat on. I realized I had not had rls in the car since getting the cushion for my car so thought that was maybe why. the back of my knees doesn't touch anything. I also have a cushion for the computer chair.

Best laugh I've had for awhile . Your experience of RLS must be very different from mine . Are you sure that's what you have ? There are other conditions concerning the legs .

Two doctors confirmed that I have RLS due to an iron brought on by donating blood too often. Have you tried my strategy? I only have to do it every 15 minutes. You may have to do it more often.

I'm sorry if I seemed to take your post lightly . I have had RLS for around 20 yrs. I was given ropinirole early on and it worked for a long time . Then I started falling down , and falling asleep while engaged in some activity . I was augmenting only I didn't know it. My doctor didn't either. My life was a nightmare...I finally found this site and learned what was happening to me. The next nightmare was finding a doctor in my area who understood how to treat RLS and then the true nightmare of withdrawing from ropinirole . Remember , I had been on it over 12 years so even after I was physically off it I still had withdrawal from what it had done to my body and brain . I am still getting used to this last part . I am glad you have found something that works for you , and it's good of you to share your information . I am taking suboxone and pregabalin now and doing well . Always aware that I may have to withdraw from these drugs too . This is a war and I win battles here and there . Movement always helps with RLS , but eventually you get to tired to move

Seems to be similar to advice to exercise moderately and the fact that most people’s RLS is relieved to some degree by movement. I rarely get it in the evenings but almost always straight after going to sleep so I may try for the last couple of hours before bed to see if anything changes.
