Good evening. Are there sufferers with secondary RLS? Acquisition?

It's possibly because there aren't many people in this forum with secondary RLS, or don't realise they have it.

Secondary RLS is where the symptoms are caused by some other health condition.

The most common causes are -

Iron deficiency anaemia

Thyroid dysfunction

Diabetes

Periopheral Neuropathy

End stage Kidney Disease

Vitamin B12 deficiency

RLS is also associated with various inflammatory diseases , e.g. -

Rheumatoid arthritis

Crohns disease

Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO)

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

Gluten sensitivity

Lactose sensitivity
