Yes. Loads of people take pregabalin & it seems to work well for them. I take a small dose with Oxycontin as it acts as a sedative to counteract OxyContin panic attacks.
Average dose is 150mg but you can take up to 300mg for RLS.
yes, it made me aggressive
I used to take it and found it was very good for my RLS and helping me sleep. Because it is absorbed more quickly than Gabapentin, I took when I got into bed, and then fell asleep about 30 minutes later. However some people take it a couple of hours before bed. It did make me very nauseous to start with, so you have to build up gradually, and bear with it as the nausea will hopefully pass.
All the best it works out.
I took lyrica for years, always upping the dose when it stopped working. Eventually I found that I was definitely walking around in a fog and not really making good life decisions. I came off it and feel much more like my old self. I think it works well at the start. Just be careful of the dosage.
yes i have infact i get them quite often
I take Pregabalin for RLS. I’m on 2 x 50mg a day which is on the low side. Worked really well at first but now not so well. I try to take the first capsule around 5pm and the second before bed, but still suffer most nights, often waking up about 2am with really bad RLS. Last night I just had it in my left arm, which was awful but so unusual not to have it in my legs at the same time. Initially Pregabalin had been controlling all but the RLS in my legs. I know I need to speak to my GP about increasing the dose but worry that that’ll just be the start of an ever increasing dose. Also, of course, it’s difficult getting appointments even over the phone at the moment. Need to do something though. Hope you find something that works for you.
