Hi I'm new. I have had the same feelings in my legs since I was 9 years old. Told it was growing pains, 17 told it was housemaids knee. 25 it was arthritis. Overweight at 30 told to lose weight. Now 51, still need to lose weight. I love walking, swimming, quite active, also have PCOS. I have a real need to twist my legs & crack my knees all night long. I've never had a good night sleep. Is it likely to be RLS, it seems to only affect my knees, but sitting here now I just want to stretch and twist my leg to crack my knee.

There are five criteria for a diagnosis of RLS

I'm not sure what you mean by cracking your knees, but it doesn't sound like RLS. Otherwise, from what you say it's impossible to say due to insufficient detail.
Read the criteria to see if they fit
