She is saying that patients need to be their own experts- just what we have been saying here all the time

She is utterly frustrated with doctors who don't know their facts.

Brilliant to hear.

Make her Minister for Health.

This is so very true. It's nice to see someone from the medical community seeing things from our side.

It reminds me of something being promoted a bit back in the world of Neurology- the Expert Patient programme. Guess who the expert was. I think it fell by the wayside as the medics think only they can be the Experts!

She is a Finnish doctor, living in Ireland. Very straight talking and a bit of a tv personality.

I love that! We have to be our own best advocates. There are a lot of people around, including lots of doctors that I call "DUH"'s. Deliberately Uninformed Humans
