RLS related to hand problems

Anyone out there have problems with their hands that might be related to your RLS? I had not thought about it but new dr. asked me yesterday if I was having problems with my hands. Which got me to thinking, about the time I augmented my right hand started hurting especially upon using it. I thought oh no, carpel tunnel. I use computer quite a bit and control mouse with my right hand (although I am left handed). About the same time I noticed some pain in my left hand. After the drs comment yesterday, I thought maybe it was related to RLS. If you have experienced this, any comments would be welcome.

At the worst, my RLS was legs and arms. Since I didn't know what it even was I thought it was Parkinson's with my arms shaking (tremor). During the day my legs and feet would be buzzing and my arms/hands shaking. Laying down at night was immediate RLS.

I call it Restless Limb Syndrome as I have it in my arms and hands as well as legs and feet. At its worst it starts in one arm/ hand goes to a leg/foot then next leg then arm/foot rotating around the body usually clockwise(!) .. I get out of bed for 1/2 hour and it goes, I get back to bed and sleep for an hour and that’s when it moves to the next limb. Usually one cycle around the body takes 5 or 6 hours and then I can sleep till 8.00 am. I don’t get pain, more like torture, an itching/ tickling inside the limb that is only relieved by movement. Such fun! Occasionally my medication works (Tramadol and Gabapentin) and I get 3 or 4 nights with NO RLS, can’t identity why (food/ drink/ tension/ timing etc etc.)

Not hands, but I recently started getting it often in an L shape in my back and then in my chin. Still trying to figure out why the spread (used to have it exclusively in my legs)....

Goodfairy here.

My husband also starting to experience hand problems too.he is booked in for carpal tunnel op.and other hand starting to play up too.may be connected to the PN in legs which is hereditary in his case.

Just contacted the sleep clinic but would need a bottomless purse or a thousand pounds.

Drugs are all the same.

Side effects impossible.

Dont know what the answer is.

Ruins life for us.cant go to theatre or cinema.

Hello again! Just going through the posts again. Have started getting a prickly sensation in my right hand, but haven’t the slightest clue if it’s related to my RLS or not.
