Third week of pram withdrawal.Worried.
If you went from .18 prami to zero cold turkey - then - yes , you are going to suffer increased rls as a result of withdrawal.
You would need some sort of help in coping- codeine or opiate ( Tramadol )
The Lyrica will be of no use at all in helping- only with the long term relief of rls- but not with the withdrawals.
Get back to your doctor and ask for help. Given that you are 3 weeks into withdrawal , you are probably at the worst stage. It should get better gradually.
Ask for the above meds , or, at the very least some Valium and shortacting sleeping pill such as Zolpidem. Just for a week to get you through.
Good luck.
Thank you!I didnt go cold turkey.I had been on 0.09 of pram for 12 days and then stopped taking pram. Why is the 3nd week the worst? Ι had some tramadol for the first 2 weeks but i am not supposed to use it any more.
Katerina, you could have halved your tablet even more. And you will still need the tramadol for a while yet, you are still experiencing withdrawals and it can take more than 3 weeks for that to settle. You need to explain that to your doctor that just 2 weeks of tramadol is not long enough. Your body is still adjusting to not having the extra dopamime you have been giving it. Your dopamine receptors are still trying to settle down.
Thank you so much,Elisse!Your help and the help of all the other members of this forum gives me strength!
