How does everyone work if up all night with RLS. Really struggling here.
Sleeping and work. : How does everyone... - Restless Legs Syn...
Sleeping and work.
I can't work any longer but when I was I used to sleep during my breaks and take an odd sneaky doze on the loo!! Mostly though it was sheer hell trying to focus and perform when chronically sleep deprived.
Look into Kratom. I actually read about it on this tread. My SEVERE RLS is completely under control!
I feel for anyone who has to work when you dont have your RLS under control i am thankful i am retired and can nap in the day if my RLS lets me. What meds are you taking for your RLS. ?
Lots of caffeine! And think my body’s just got so used to having little sleep.... sorry not much help!
I am retired now but when I worked I used to have my lunch in an unused office (lucky!) and have a 20 minute power nap. That seemed to keep me going. I just seemed to handle it, though there were days I knew I was not up to speed but I taught training sessions and I think adrenaline boosted me. Not a good way to live.
I have just been told to cut my caffeine because it is the cause of my other issue. I rely on it, as I work full time.
I've just changed my GP. My new doctor has just put me on ropinirole, and I have a review in three weeks. He seems to be taking it seriously. I have had three rls free nights. Ah blessed sleep.
RLS sent me into early retirement at around 56.
My usual 10 day f/n was:
5/10 ..... no sleep
2/10 ..... 2 hrs sleep
2/10 ..... ½ -1 hr sleep
1/10 ..... sick
and of course, almost every day I had nausea, which usually ended up with vomiting. All I wanted to do, all day, everyday, was curl up on that cold, tiled floor and sleep. And then one day, I just realised that I can't live like this anymore.
