Hi everyone, i have rls and i also suffer migraines , i have been on beta blockers for migraines for a while but they weren't working so i changed meds , now these are great not only have they stopped my migraines but my rls has all but gone , at least i can sleep again without legs jumping etc fantastic

Sorry forgot to say my new meds are called topiramate milpharm , they are brilliant for migraines but also helping my rls

That's very interesting and fantastic news. Topiramate is a newer antiepileptic ( says she with her Dr hat on! ) I'd read that there were reports that it helped RLS and had wondered about asking my GP if he'd be prepared to prescribe it and then I read up about side effects ( can't remember what they were now, sorry ) and abandoned the idea.
Is it causing you any problems and what dose are you taking? Often for migraine things are prescribed in low dose as far as I recall.
I wonder if eg John Hopkins in the US have any info about this?
