Changing how i took Pramipexole

I am writing this as i will hope it will help others. I was prescribed pramipexole a year ago and take 3 x 0.088mg which i used to take early evening (usually arount 6pm) as my RLS comes on in the evening only.

The result if this would sometimes be augmentation symptoms and most evenings i would be asleep by 9pm at the latest. I also regularly started my day at around 3.30-4am knowing i wouldnt go back to sleep!

I decided to experiment on how and when i took the tablets to see if it made any difference. I now take 1 at 6pm, 1 at 8pm and 1 at 10pm and I have more energy, relief from RLS most of the time and sometimes i sleep on until 8am when i don't have to get up for work - heaven!

So, just incase it helps others, give it a go - i suppose this is a similar effect as slow release drugs! Lol

Hi TSLBK, if you took 3 pramipexole at 6pm no wonder you were asleep quickly, that is a high dose and your body probably didn't get on with that. Taking one at a time over a few hours sounds a much better idea - and it works which is excellent. May it work for a long time
