Sounds more like nerve impingement, Stan.

Maybe get a softer fishing chair??😂

Hi stan38angler, I find something like that; I can be quite calm and comfortable but if I even think of my legs or maybe nudge the chair leg or something it immediately starts my RLS off. Sort of brings it into my consciousness. I have an arthritic toe joint so you can imagine what that does!! Have you had RLS for a long time?

So what meds (doses) are you taking for your RLS? and does it keep the symptoms away normally?

I was taking 2mg Ropinirole a long time ago and returned to Pramipexole when Rop stopped working. As I had already taken Mirapexin (Prami) beforehand it was not long before I augmented on it and had to stop all dopamine agonist drugs. Not pleasant to withdraw but I'm glad I did and now have pregabalin 75mg, which is starting to work fine. Just today I have had no RLS symptoms at all. I take 25mg in the morning and 50mg in the evening. Early days yet but this seems to work for me so far.

I may be corrected on this but I think current practice is to max at 1mg Ropinirole, so don't let your doc raise the dose. If/when it stops working ask for pregabalin 25mg and slowly work up to maybe 100mg or what works for you. It is slow to take effect so you should be patient.

Your choice of course but work with your doctor if you decide to come off Ropinirol slowly and wait as long as you can bear it (RLS will flare up) before starting something new. I should add that we are all different as you will have seen from these pages and react differently too.

Good Luck and Good Health

Neil

You might want to try chiropractic care for nerve issues related to RLS.

You are right - I find that definitely does not help RLS!

You are right - that happens to me too. Not that that causes RLS all the time even if I am in a comfy chair!
