i dont know if any of the sufferers of rls have tried the

anti-depressant AMITRYPTINE , as i suffered a serious back injury about 30 years ago and my RSL stopped overnight and as i have taken the medication it never returned so i certainly advise any sufferers of the condition, it may work for you as it did for me!

Hi, my husband is taking amatriptyline and is having trouble now as it seems to have stopped working. I also have RLS since I was a child but my doctor thinks I have nothing wrong only anxiety.

Amitriptyline is one of the medications listed to avoid on the RLS-UK website. Most sufferers find it aggravates their symptoms.

As we learn on this forum, what helps one person does absolutely nothing for another and can even make the symptoms much worse. It is trial and error.

So great that it worked for you. Amitriptelene is on the list of drugs for RLS sufferers to avoid and most find it drives RLS wild (me included!) but we are all different...
