RLS and RA are connected.

Dopamine seems to play a part in RLS.

If you google the terms ' dopamine and RLS' you will get the NHS site which explains it better than I can.

If you've had rls all your life , and others inyour family also have it , it's Primary RLS.

If you got it later in life ( many people get it after back surgery) it's called secondary. The relationship with RA comes under the latter heading.

Cheers.

Check out rlcure.com an absolute cure for RLS. It goes into the chemistry of what is going on in one's body with RLS. Makes some connections with Parkinson's and other ailments. Has good documentation for it's sources. Discusses dopamine, seratonin, histamine, glutamate, inflammation. Great info and alternative medicine/supplemants/ avoidance of triggers. Very helpful!
