I'm sitting here in the kitchen with a cup of Camomile and an AnalgiPlus (500 mg Paracetamol /30 Codeine). I usually only have rls during the day, either during the afternoon or evening, or early night. Not every day. Some times in my arms or shoulders. On a bad day I can walk around for hours. I've been on Mirapexin for 10 years. Started on 0.08, then 0. 16, then 0.26. About a year ago I reduced to 0.16 (with difficulty). I take it about 2 hours before bedtime. This year I intend to reduce to 0.08. I'm up during the night, every night. Funnily enough, my legs are not restless, but my calves feel swollen, with veins bulging. So, I'm not really in pain at this time, just discomforted. I should be able to get a few hours sleep shortly, as the discomfort is easing. To tell the truth, I often enjoy these moments at night, as my legs return to normal, and I surf away on my Nexus 7. I'm retired, so I can sleep in until midday. Not very productive, but I enjoy life..

Dublin.

Been up most the night but on the plus side the RLS is under control - just the insomnia and back pain to deal with now :)

I know how you feel. !

The combination of rls and back pain can wear you down.😁

Hi Mchonkey - are you really from Dublin?. Didn't think there were many from our part of the free world!!!! I'm from Athy.☺

Yes, I was up at 5a.m.(doing well because the plmd usually starts at 3am or 4 am.). Had a cup of tea, walked around for a bit whilst watching Tv then back to bed at about 6.30 and slept till 8am. My back pain seems to be triggered by lying down so is always worst at night and first thing in the morning. My rls is much better than it used to be since going to a cranial osteopath but he can't improve the back pain. I'm told my MRI shows wear and tear but nothing significant.
