Powerful - so good to see the cause taken up by an Irish news source.

I have considered approaching the Chronic Pain Society in Dublin to start up a RLS Society as an affiliate under their umbrella. If Daragh has any ideas on this, I would be glad to help in any way.

There seem to be no experts on RLS in Ireland - any pain consultants I have met have no idea of the syndrome - still less the appropriate treatment.

I have to patch Dr Buchfurer through to my GP( so to speak) to be able to get a decent treatment outcome.

Well done Daragh, for highlighting this.

PS . I'm in NZ for the next six weeks but could move things forward on my return.

Cheers.

3 cheers for Daragh. The description of RLS on Google from doctors is very annoying i.e. "crawling feeling in legs" and quite obvious that they have never experienced the uncontrollable need to move their legs, arms and whole body, plus leg pains; nor have they experienced sleep deprivation so bad that they cannot function. I call RLS "Walkie Legs". Thank goodness for this website, Ellise, nightdancer, pippin2 and many others that have really helped me.
