has anyone had to give up work because of RLS?

recently i have struggled as my legs and arms have been so sore.

I take Gabapentin, 400mg morning, 400mg half way through day and 500mg at night.

i have also had cocodamol for a pulled shoulder muscle that has helped the RLS.

its really getting me down just now.

I'm off work for a year at present it is primarily ME related however I am struggling to recover as the RLS keeps weakening/setting me back.

I struggled immensely the last year at work, in fact i can't remember much about it - I was so exhausted I was running on auto-pilot, so I can completely get where you are coming from.

I did have to leave my job due to lack of sleep. I have tried just about everything. The only approach which has provided some relief is magnesium malate. I take around 1200 mg. I take one early in the evening and then before I go to bed. Caffenine and alcohol make my rls worse.

Best to you!
