Weight gain and Praximole for RLS
Hi, if you mean Pramipexole then yes, alot of people complain of weight gain.
I have experienced some weight gain, but I didn't realise that it might be due to the Pramipexole I'm on. I've taken 0.35mg each night for about 9 months but for the last month I've noticed a pattern similar to that when other medicine lost its effect (i.e., kicking my husband every night ! I say it's augmentation!). My neuro has suggested a way to proceed and we're trying it now. This sounds as if it may result in further weight gain. We'll see how it works.
Lindy14, it sounds as if you also have PLMD, if you are kicking your hubby at night. are you asleep when you are kicking..? Also it does sound as if the pramipexole isnt working anymore. thats quite normal for the dopmaine agonists to do that. I hope whatever you are trying now will work for you. Keep us informed
Hi i suffer with restless leg syndrome this the first time i've come on this site i take 3 tablets 0.25 milligrams i have put on quite a lot of weight i would guess probably about 2 and a half stone in the last year not eating anything differently i didn't know what it was until i seen your post and thought this must be the answer the tablets are doing it but i will look into it further.
Yes, a quick 30 pounds (I live in Atizona) which looked and felt awful on my 5'3" frame). I told my primary care doctor that I'd rather go back to taking nothing. She suggested I switch to Requip (repinerole).. The repinerole has been effective but the possibility of augmentation scares me as anytime I've had to go without it, I nearly lost my mind--my legs were worse than ever. I had spasms that made sitting still or lying down impossible.
