Night pain.

Does anyone else get really bad pain at night? The restlessness is pretty well controlled, especially since I have managed to get back on the pramipexole, my chemist called to let me know he had managed to get it again m which was good of him.

I truly feel I can't take the pain much more, it is not just in my legs but all over, even my hair follicles hurt if you can imagine. I am not sure if it is the RLS, as I have been told that I have an autoimmune disease in the crest spectrum. The thing that makes me connect it to RLS is that as soon as it gets dark, it starts, and calms down somewhat at dawn.

My Doctor just says oh dear, but will not offer me anything but tramadol, and Diazepam for muscle spasms.

I hope you are all doing as well as possible,

First glad you got your Pramipexole again, as a few of us have not found there to be a shortage.

I dont get pain when my Pramipexole is working only when its not working. I would accept the Tramadol from your doctor and see if that works on the pain, it can also help with RLS for alot of people. You may even be able to reduce your Pramipexole dosage using the Tramadol working along side the Pramipexole.

Thank you for your response Ellisse, I already take Tramadol full dosage, as well as paracetamol, and Diazepam, on top of the pramipexole, so I don't know what else I can do.

I knew that the chemist wouldn't let you down.! =)

Oh, right. Maybe then its not the RLS that is giving you the pain. I can only think of oxycodene as another pain med that might work. Otherwise i dont know what to suggest, unless you need to see someone for further investigating on your autoimmune disease.

You could go up in narcotics, yes, or you could add an anti inflammatory drug to

your schedule but something tells me that you are ready for a longer acting narcotic.

Oxycodone would be a lot of medicine that would get rid of pain very fast but the pain

would likely wake you up so the other version is Oxycontin which slowly feeds your

body strong pain medicines over a long daytime or night time..it works for 12 hours.

both of those drugs are addictive..if you took it for actual pain..like you have tried the

usual and it still is interfering with your function, then you probably won't get addicted

to the drug..I say probably because you cannot or should not reach for that drug first

the next time you need pain relief..It's a last resort...but if you are taking that drug for

a headache (even though it's prescribed for you and you know that a non narcotic is

all that is needed, you may become addicted...(MAY emphasized ) or if you know that

it will keep the legs still and you take it as a prevention, you may depend on the drug..

both of those things are dangers or red flag behaviors ..the goal is to get you comfortable,

not to get you ready to go out...some people feel light on their feet or less stress..

So you have to make sure that you only take it when all else fails to take away real pain.

I have to take pramixopole two hours before I think I'm going to get RLS which is difficult as I don't know when it's going to happen, could be anytime 24/7.

I find great relief from OxyNorm, it takes 30 mins to kick in but the relief I get is fantastic, every bit of pain I get goes and I can rest easy again.

Hi Annabell,

Pain in my legs and feet, on occasions I get pain in my arms but not as nearly as bad as my legs. This happens at anytime of the day or night and during driving my car, then I have to stop and walk about a bit then carry on driving. Still looking on the bright side I'm not as bad as some people, at least I have my eye sight and can hear pretty well so happy Day's I suppose.Sex used to be good to take my mind off the pain, but due to my medication certain parts do not work any more, you know what I mean.

May the sun shine for you.

Yes I also get really severe pain at night and I cry out in agony at times. I get very little restlessness which seems to occur in most people. So I don't think that the Doctors I have seen really know what I have got. I take 2 X 2mg Ropinirole every night as that is what I am prescribed. I have to be up at 4 am 3 mornings a week and I am getting so little sleep and this has been going on for a very long time. I just hate going to bed as I know that I will be in and out of bed all night long.
