Has anyone else given up smoking with the help of E-cig?

I recall trying a cigarette type inhalator that you put a cartridge in, a long time ago. I didn't last very long with it, as to me it was too much like smoking, which is that habit I want to kick. I guess that it's each to their own. What works for some, doesn't for others. It can be trial and error for a while. I do know a couple of people who use the E-cigs and swear by them!

I just use the lozengers. Have tried the mouthspray... not my thing...the chewing gum...lost its flavour too quickly...but again it's what works best for the person stopping!

Hi

I am occasionally using an e cig but I dont find it as helpful as the nicotine minis which although they give me the hiccups seem to work. The ecig really isnt like smoking a real cigarette! i have tried regular tobacco taste and menthol but the butt is cold and hard and the vapour just isnt the same.

Beware! I found a special offer for e cigs on line for £4.99 but be warned they have small print and send cartridge refils for £29.99! it has taken over a week to try and obtain a refund so far.

My son is using the ecigs instead of cigarettes and hasnt smoked a real cigarette for weeks.

What works for one doesnt for others, the most important thing is stop smoking and anythink that helps is worth trying. I find E-Cigs fine and havent had or dont even want a real Ciggy now, I gave up 7 mnths ago. All my Family smoke and it doesnt bother me at all ( except for the smell ) I dont have any interest in smoking or that craving since the day I stopped. Good luck to your Son.

Take care

Good luck gaz, if I were you I would start on medium nicotine for a few months and then go on to lower one then you can reduce the strength even more by getting zero nicotine, theres lots of different flavours and you should find one to suit you. After a while you wont need nicotine and thats our goals. I found it very easy and didnt have any craving or side affects at all. I will gradually stop using e-cigs but at the moment they are useful and I believe better than ciggys, I dont crave them like I use to crave proper ciggys, so there working for me. Good luck, hope you find them helpful
