Emjay is fantastic, she has got all the knolledge to help you quit, and well, all of us here chat about, when the worste times are, what triggers them cravings off, and we help each other out. You just say how you are feeling.
May i ask how many you used to smoke a day ? and what strength your patches are ?
I used to smoke 40 a day, so i'm on 25mg patches a day, plus a puff at the inhalator now and again.
Please give us a try.
Pete.
Hiya Crazy and welcome. The others have said it all. Although I'm not on patches and opted for the cold turkey route it is starting to get easier but that first week was pretty awful.
If it wasn't for all the lovely people on here helping I'm not sure I'd have managed it - they are really inspirational and totally supportive.
Good luck and just take each day as it comes and STAY STRONG!!!
Andi

Hey Crazy, I seemed to have missed this post sorry...
Welcome to our happy place, you'll be able to chat to others who were feeling the same as you are at some point on their journey to a smokefree lifestyle.
You've done so well to get this far and it's really important that you focus on the positive.
You're now into your 6th day, how are you feeling? The fact that you're getting cravings s a good thing... A positive sign that your body is recognising that you've chosen to stop smoking. If you hadn't stopped, then you wouldn't be feeling this way
Just a couple of questions for you;
What is your main reason for wanting to stop smoking in the first place?
Do you use your patches for 24 hours or do you take them off each night?
Practicing breathing exercises is a really good way to overcome a craving but please keep reminding yourself that the cravings will go away whether you smoke or not... I promise
You've had lots of fab advice from everyone above, if there is anything that you can't find or would like to know, then please just ask.
You have done ever so well, staying positive is the key
