I'm teaching myself guitar and don't have to stop every 15 minutes or so to light a cigarette and watch it burn out.

Way to go. It’s been tough but I’m so glad I did it.

as the second wave took hold I was already having health anxiety due to smoking so took the plunge and stopped the cigs and went on a vape.

Thank you Jillygirl. I only hope that other people here can manage to stick to being smoke free. The benefits far outweigh the habit. I so often wonder why I ever smoked for 40 years!

After 2+ smoke free years I found I was having to deal with very strong cravings. I have no idea if this was in some way, unconsciously, linked to fear of covid.

We have not been affected to the same degree here in Aussie. I live in Victoria which where the put the lockdowns etc. Managing a house for people with intellectual disabilities got a lot tougher as the residents were in lockdown. The hardest part for me was not being able to go home to New Zealand when my brother passed away very suddenly. I worry about my son in the USA everyday.
