Suspected diagnosis

I was given a suspected diagnoses of cbd.

I have read about it and know how it affected my grandmother, but that is not much to give me any idea how it will be for me. I seem to have plateaud in the last two years. I am 50.

I too had suspected cbd because of my atypical parkinsonism no tremor and no response to l dopa they changesd the diagnosis to psp about 2years ago but I too seemed too have plateaud out during the last 3-4 years. I actually think that i have pure akinesia with FOG. It is all a bit of a mystery, but your diagnosis of cbd may well be wrong.

Floortje I suggest if you are in UK contact PSPA (pspassociation.co.uk) who have booklets on what to expect as a PSP or CBD sufferer and what Carers need to be aware of. They also may be help getting your diagnosis confirmed or not 2yr without confirmation seems a bit long.

Go to curepsp.org for more info on CBD, PSP, and MSA. Tons of info there. So sorry to hear about your diagnosis at such an early age. My wife was only 46 when diagnosed with PSP.

My husband was diagnosed with suspected CBD in 2012. It cannot be confirmed until after death.... sorry about that. It also has to be confirmed by two different neurologists from two different health authorities.

My husband had plateaud until three days ago. Now everything is happening all at once. I'm praying it's only a blip, then everything will go back to how it was.
