What helpful techniques work when using a Hoyer lift? I can work the lift but have problems getting sling in place.

Sorry if you got half a reply I must have hit a key unintentionally and everything disappeared.

You may find a different design of sling would help, there are literally hundreds of them. A web search under 'patient slings' will do it. I think the style I had was a 'toiletting sling' which doesn't require any part of it under the seating area which makes it simple to get in place. A word with the supplier or an OT should sort it out. I guess for "health and safety' reasons they probably supply the most secure sling as standard which may not be the most convenient for your use. All the slings are safe when used properly and it's not as if you are wanting to do acrobatics in the the thing. I hope you find a satisfactory solution. Best wishes, Jerry.
