SBRT rectal bleeding

5 Sessions SBRT 7 months ago has caused occasional blood smears on the loo paper I believe this is normal, I've no other symptoms.

Yes, expected. Don't strain on the toilet. That feeling that there is still something in there is an artifact of the radiation (called "tenesmus") and will go away. A stool softener may help.

I had exactly the same thing, but it has since disappeared. Not to worry.

1 tablespoon of Chia Seeds soaked in water for 15 minutes and drank every morning is a lifesaver. Some folks soak it in milk and put it in the fridge the night before for a smoothie in the morning. Either way is works wonders for those of us who might have some RT Related delicateness down there.

How do you stop rectal bleeding from radiation?

Most cases of radiation-induced bleeding are mild and self-limiting, and treatment is normally not indicated. In cases of clinically significant bleeding (i.e. anemia), medical therapies, including stool softeners, sucralfate enemas, and metronidazole, should be considered as first-line treatment options.
