GS8 in one core Brachy boost and no HT

Six years ago I was diagnosed with PC. Only one core of 13 showed GS8 ie. 4mm in a 10mm core.

I wasn't willing to undergo HT and fortunately that was optional at BCCA with my PSA of 5.2 and only one core with cancer.

I had all the side effects like fatigue, frequent urinating and the worst being the burning sensation for about 24 hours after the seeds were implanted. The burning ended after a long walk - remember that!

I had two bounces and one was big enough to trigger a PSMA scan. My RO called the next day to say NOTHING was found.

My PSA settled down to about 0.6 for during 2021 and then dropped further. My PSA is now 0.09. My PSA may have plateaued at 0.6 due to CRP (chronic radiation proctitis). I had two treatments for the CRP in November 2021 and March 2022.

I live in the Greater Vancouver area.

congrats of great results. Yes, doing without ADT can still provide good results.....ADT only increases the probability of good results.........but also increases the probability of EARLY deterioration in quality of life ?

Did you have any long-term radiation side effects?

Yes, the CRP 'chronic radiation proctitis' which could be described as a long term sunburn where the sun don't shine ie. blood in stool and erectile disfunction.
