Tragic... I wonder whether similar situation exists in the US. I got an earlier mpMRI and biopsy date because of patient cancellations. Otherwise, I would still not have my diagnosis...

TA has previously posted a summary of studies which almost uniformly showed that overall PCA survival was simliar between men who received treatment within 3 mo of diagnosis and men who received treatment one year after diagnosis. This would imply that waiting for the diagnosis for a few months does not have much impact on long-term survival.l

Agreed. I think patients have to be flexible. I was offered earlier slots because of cancellations, but I can see why someone's work schedule might not be flexible.
