A small (n=60) pilot trial in Canada of high-risk men treated with SBRT (or SABR) reported great results. Half the men had whole pelvic radiation (+ seminal vesicles), half had prostate and seminal vesicles only, with a higher SV dose. After 5 years, biochemical failure only occurred in 15% of the men who had SBRT to the prostate+SV-only, and was ZERO among the men who received whole pelvic radiation. Pretty impressive so far.

Thanks for this--very encouraging. The Alayed paper is behind a pay wall--do you know if the cohorts were randomly assigned?
They were actually from two different trials done consecutively. They had the same recruitment criteria.
Thanks--yes, small trial and not statistically powerful, but encouraging nonetheless. Particularly positive given the non-inferiority with pelvic radiation.
