Im 24 weeks pregnant... iv had my belly button pierced since i was 15 and took out the piercing when i found out i was pregnant however iv noticed today the actual piercing above is swollen, red and very sore has this happened to anyone? and could i use TCP on it?

I'm a couple of days away from 24 also my belly button which is an inny is now stretched and a little tender and lightly red but not sore.

Maybe your has rubbed against clothing, hence redness and soreness! You will be fine to use tcp, first clean the area with warm it cotton wool, then use tcp or antibacterial cream, try to make sure your trousers or skirts don't rub.

aw yeah thought it was maybe because the piercing had stretched with my expanding belly also i wear a bump band for comfort so it could be irritation.. will try a wee bit of TCP and see if that helps thanks xxx

i used tcp on an infected tooth in my mouth when i was in my second trimester,nothing wrong with it but together with it remove the piercing
