very faint positive 4 weeks after abortion

has anyone had anything similar i passed the pregnancy on the 6th august today I did a pregnancy test and it was so very faint I’m so anxious and worried now

Have you had a period since? Could this be a new pregnancy at all?

It’s worth contacting your gp or whoever you saw for the termination for advice but if you have no possibility of being pregnant, it might be a tiny amount of left over cells that are causing the positive. It’s horrible to think of and happened to me (so completely understand it’s distressing) but apparently is very common. They can give you some tablets if it is that which for most people resolves things.

It also could be the hcg just taking its time and another week and it won’t be positive at all. For some reason, sometimes it takes ages for hcg to drop. Worth a quick call to check though with health professionals.

I would contact whoever you had the abortion through and ask them for help, it may be that they need to scan you to check if it’s left over tissue causing the hormones to stay in your body, all the best x

Yeah I think I might have to as I’ve been doing the pregnancy test for 5 days now and half of them are positive and half negative very weird thank you
