Taking pram abroad?

I'm going abroad in April with a 2.5 year old and a 9 month old. I'm unsure whether to take my double stroller abroad or take 2 small strollers?

My 2.5 year old will deffo still need a pram some of the time, but my double is quite bulky (joie evalite) so that's why i'm wondering if the 2 singles would be easier?

There will be 7 adults as well so plenty of pick for pushing/carrying stroller lol.

If anyone has any advice or can say what they did etc...

Thanks

Where are you going to? I would say two strollers definitely. I used to have a double buggy that was Bulky and I have stuck in places, eg on the bus, non standard lifts/door ways. If you need to fold and carry much heavier. Also eg Manchester airport not the first time I had to go up and down stairs and there was no lift.

It depends very much where you are going. Airlines are brutal with buggies and car seats, and while you'll get a decent replacement for a broken car seat, if they destroy a beloved pram, they'll only compensate you enough to replace it second hand and they'll make it *hard*.

If you are going somewhere particularly touristy, I'd recommend hiring something locally.

We are off to Cyprus and flying from Bristol. Due to my l/o being 9 months, he will need something for the airport. Deffo thinking just 2 cheap strollers. I have one myself which I could bring that I used with my first, but I'd need another. x
