just a quick post as im starting to worry about my choice of pram! ive bought a mothercare u-move travel system which says suitable from birth. however it was a sort of rushed purchase due to it being on sale and not having many left, and i cant really afford one of these £500 prams! but now ive started to think about it and read abit more up on it im worried its not safe for the bump (when he arrives) i do a lot of walking and travelling by bus ect but this pram is one with a car seat. im worried that him being in the car seat while im just walking around is going to affect his development after reading some stories! i dont know wether i should look at swapping it before its too late or if it will be ok. any advice?? thanks x

Sam loves the car seat on our chassis more than the pram and pushchair! If anything he gets far more developmental stimulation in the seat than in the pram as he can more easily look about him.
Don't worry about what others say, and remember there is a lot of sh!t on the Internet that has absolutely no basis in fact! Xx
Not a chance! They would never pass safety checks to be used as car seats in that case! Most car seats come with a newborn insert which supports their head and back. My LO usually falls a sleep in his car seat when used on the pram chassis - an uncomfortable baby will not sleep!
I echo Dr Fluffy's comments our Sam also loves his car seat on the pram...
The majority of pushchairs these days enable u to put the car seat on it (mine included) they will probably get more stimulation from being in a car seat to laying down in a pushchair as can see u and everything else more easily. Obviously the baby needs to b in the car seat in the car or to get around so not much difference to walking around than driving around.
