First time writing on here. I’m 38 weeks pregnant, FTM.
I wondered if anyone has any experience of giving birth following LLETZ for CIN3, that’s left a very scarred and over granulated cervix. My cervix has recently been checked again, and it’s come back abnormal again so have to go back 2 months post delivery
I’m under a consultant as they are concerned my cervix may not open or it’ll open at rapid pace but they won’t know until the day.

That sounds stressful for you! I had LLETZ and a fairly large scar from it. I was very uncertain what would happen when I gave birth but it turned out to be completely ok and the scar didn’t affect anything.
So I think you really can’t know until it happens and all you can do is avoid thinking this particular risk and focus on the things you can control, like your birth plan and making sure you are getting enough support around the birth.
I know it’s easier said than done. I worried so much before the broth about all the risks but on the day I felt an unexpected kind of calm and strength. So don’t try to second guess what it will be like if you can.
Big hug and make sure you get all the medical care, advice and options you need!
Thank you for replying - your response is really reassuring.
Hopefully I can hold it together like you and remain calm! It’s one of those, ive been anxious about the birth since the day I found out I was pregnant! Lol.
I had a LLETZ and had not a problem giving birth (apart from the 9 1/2lb baby giant! Ouch!) Currently pregnant with number 2 and cervix all good so far and holding its own at 21 weeks.
Hope you too have an easy straight forward experience.
I have a growth scan on Monday as they are telling me baby is “big”! That’s after 4 growth scans telling me baby is small. But all US have come back bang on 50th centile! Lol!
Did your midwife recommend a certain type of pain relief?
Hi, we are the samre although im in early stage pregnancy, worried sick about the LLETZ two years ago as i had very bad bleeding after the LLETZ . Im more worried when i saw a lot in google saying it makes your cervix incompetent and a possible early labour. But you are 38weeks, dd your ob told you of the risk? Hope everything goes fine for you
