5 weeks pregnant, took my ultrasound 4 days ago and its just a yolk. Last night i experience pinkish brown discharge with a small clot, later this afternoon i felt sticky and this happened. Is this dangerous? No cramps at all.

Brown blood is old blood and from what the midwives have told me is nothing to worry about. I reckon it could be where you had the scan and caused your cervix to bleed. Midwives told me in the past unless I'm cramping and bleeding heavily fresh blood filling a pad every hour or less not to worry. I had this with my 2 year old daughter until I was 14 weeks pregnant and even fresh blood with clots at 10 weeks . Obviously if it worries you contact your EPU or GP ( my EPU requires a referral from a GP) and they can scan you to put your mind at ease . Lots of women spot in early pregnancy and many go onto have a healthy baby Xx
