Second Covid Astrazenica jab and low platelets

I had my first Astrazenica covid vaccine before any warnings arose around it, and am due my second one this week. In the 6 weeks after my first dose, my blood platelets dropped significantly (but have now gone up again). I just read that as well as very rare instances of blood clots, one symptom of that vaccine is lowered platelets - which would put me at a higher risk in birth. However, that's also just an issues that can occur natuarally in pregnancy. I'm due in 5 weeks and can't decide whether to get the second vaccine (midwife says I should). Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I'm struggling to get any proper info around it.

Discuss with your gp, or when you go for the vaccine. I'd say discussing with your gp before makes more sense.

What did you decide in the end? I had the AZ first dose before the guidance changed and I’m now unsure what to do about my 2nd dose. I’m not pregnant but am breastfeeding
