My preemie baby went for Phototherapy on day 3 and was kept under blue light for 48 hrs.
She has now started gradually turning dark by 3 months. Her diaper area, neck folds and other hidden areas of her body is fair . It looks like the tanning is deepening as I used to keep her in sunlight as it is winter here. Now, I am worried that this tanning from the Phototherapy is not permanent? Pls share ur experiences and any remedy that improved ur baby's skin post Phototherapy.
Thanks in advance

Please don't try an use anything to remove tanned areas from.phototherapy. If you're concerned about the appearance see your doctor to make sure it's just tanned skin but do NOT try anything to lighten baby's skin as such products are very harsh and drying on skin.
Thank u for ur concern. I have consulted the doc. and was assured tht it goes away in weeks time. But there is no progress as baby is already 13 weeks old
This is just an update for all the moms that my baby's skin color and quality has improved and she just celebrated her 6 months birthday with her twin sister! Her complexion is back with due course of time, with the help of ubtan I made especially for her !
