My baby has just developed cradle cap and baby oil just doesn’t seem to work. Does anybody have any other remedies? It’s very dry!

Cradle cap solutions?

We used cradle cap shampoo by Dentinox (I think). We were told by GP to use aveeno but it did nothing xx

I second this shampoo. We used it and it cleared up. Did keep using it so it didn’t come back but it’s designed for long use.
Usually health visitors tell you to use olive oil

Would that be any olive oil? Like the one used for cooking?
Yeah just regular olive oil
Wash baby’s hair brush flakes rub oil leave overnight wash off with baby shampoo in morning probably keep repeating every night

Thank you
I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it looks infected, it's something they will grow out of and if you try and pick the flakes off you can give them an infection.
You can use olive oil, coconut oil, any vegetable oil really to try and ease it, but it will get better as they get older.
With my son, I used Burt’s bees baby ointment and a very soft baby brush. Fab stuff
Nipple cream solved ours in 3 days.
