I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage but congratulations on being pregnant again. To be honest I think many women have a lot of anxiety, especially during the early weeks. I haven't had a miscarriage but I was extremely anxious all along (i'm 20 weeks now) and I still worry some days but it is getting easier.

Try to take each day as it comes and maybe try to do something to distract yourself (a nice walk, see family or friends, meditation, read a new book).

All you can do at the moment is get plenty of rest, drink lots of water, eat healthy food and make sure you take your vitamins.

I know it's really hard but try not to focus too much on what could go wrong, focus on what you can control. And don't forget to speak to people if you are struggling. If you think your anxiety is getting too much, then speak to your midwife.

Take care.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I’m so sorry that you experienced a miscarriage. I had one a few years ago and I have never gotten over it. It had been one of the worst experiences of my life. I’m thinking I’m probably a lot older than you. Without even trying or thinking it possible I got pregnant again two years later.

I would love to tell you that the anxiety went away and that I was chilled but I wasn’t. Sometimes pregnancies after a loss are fraught. My suggestion would be to understand how natural that worry is to be experiencing. What I found helpful was to take each day as it comes and I reacted immediately if I felt something was astray. If you need to go to the early pregnancy unit then go. Chat with your midwife and or GP about how you’re feeling. I recall waiting for the 12 week scan and how scared I was for it and when the day came I was a bit of a mess.

Having symptoms or not is very individual. I had symptoms for all my pregnancies including the one I lost. Please do what you can to distract yourself, speak to your midwife or GP and surround yourself with supportive people.

At aged 46 and after a difficult and worrying pregnancy I gave birth in July. I feel for you and I’m wishing you sooooo much luck with this pregnancy. Everything you’re feeling sounds healthy and understandable given what you’ve experienced.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I have had the same experience as you, I miscarried and then fell pregnant again straight away. I am 13 weeks now and had my 12 week scan recently and I was a wreck going in there, I was convinced something was wrong, I had also had 2 private scans beforehand so knew that everything was fine, but it doesn’t stop you worrying, just try and relax, I know it’s easier said than done, but everything will be fine xxx

Thank you for sharing your experience the same as mine it makes it easier knowing other have had the same situation as me, i think its due to the fact when i first found out i had really bad sickness and sore boobs but they have both seemed to pass as i am yet to get a mid-wife due to the waiting list in my area but i have managed to get a telephone call with someone this week.

Always remember that everyone is different with symptoms. Some stick around and some disappear, there isn’t a time limit on them either. I was only sick an handful of times, but I had the dry heave every single day all day. But I’m only just starting to feel good now. What your feeling is totally normal, if I could give you any advice, it would be don’t google anything. Call the midwife or the EPAU if you need too, book an early scan for your own peace of mind, it really will make you feel better. Xxx

Oh my gosh yes I am just anxious all over. I am 9 weeks and 4 days. We were expecting twins, but lost one baby at my 8 week scan. Just had a reassurance scan yesterday and baby measuring 2 days behind and heartbeat @ 156bpm. Instead of feeling reassured, I’m still anxious. So I know exactly how you feel.

My symptoms come and go. Every time they go I freak out. My understanding is that if you have not had any symptoms at all it is still ok and you are one of the lucky ones (even though you’d rather symptoms for reassurance). I know a few ppl with twins/singletons and had no symptoms and they are currently in their second trimester all healthy and fine. I’ve also known friends who’s symptoms just started later like at 10 weeks. I hope knowing that info will give you a bit of relief from your anxiety.

You are not alone in your feelings xx
