1 year injections

My lb had his one year injections last Friday! On Friday night he had a really high temp which lasted on and off throughout the night! Over the weekend he was quite irritable and just wanted mummy! He’s also been having really bad nappies which have now caused really bad nappy rash 😢 I’ve been using metanium but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything! Can anyone recommend anything else or should I call the doctors in the morning and get some cream from them! Also can this be normal after injections xx

My lb was irritable for a few days and went of his food no temp or anything tho but it is very common, my little boy was fine all day woke up threw night screaming couldn’t move his legs, managed to settle him woke up in the morning and he couldn’t move his legs or walk just screaming in pain , they had done all 4 injection in the front of his legs and because he was tensing his legs they injected a muscle it was awful it took his a good 48 hours to walk properly or put pressure on his legs worse lot of jabs by far for him phoned the doctors and they just told me it was normal but no one I know as ever had that problem , they said it would be like a dead leg or cramp constantly for him so you could only imagine the pain , hope your lb gets better so it’s for the best tho isn’t it xx

Oh bless him it’s awful for them isn’t it! I’m going to ring the doctors today for my lb his bottom is red raw xx

That sounds so traumatic for you both. Sorry to hear that. Injections are meant to go in muscles as far as I know but 4 at once is a lot. Dreading my baby having them Did Calpol help at all? Xx

Yeah it’s not nice for them at all! So much all at once! My little one has really struggled with these ones! He spiked a temp the night he had them of 39.4 we ended up ringing 111 as it wasn’t coming down after calpol and ibuprofen! Eventually it did but he’s been off colour since! Just not himself, and now he’s got awful nappies and a red raw bottom xx

Yeah at 1 they have 4 but they don’t normal put then in front of there legs 2 in each leg all at side , they did my lb all at front it was by far the worse one he wasn’t poorly with a temp or anything just he couldn’t walk or move his legs calpol did nothing either xxx

My lo got a high temp and measles after his injections as well as a sore bottom. I was told by hv to just water and cotton wool and metanium and it did clear up the worst of it after a few days.
