the general rule that I've heard is 6 hrs at room temperature, 6 days in the fridge and 6 months frozen. So it would be coming to the end of its life in the fridge. I would probably be tempted to use it now and not risk freezing it so close to the sixth day.

It depends on the temperature of your fridge. If fridge is higher then 4°C then use it within 3 days if its lower then can keep up to 8 days. I generally freeze them straight away or after a couple of days of being in the fridge
