My lb is going to be 16mths next week and has recently started fighting naps, fighting sleep at night and waking up crying during the night. Thought it might be his teeth as he is drooling like mad but even after calpol at night he still fights sleep. Any ideas guys?

How many naps is he having during the day? If it’s still 2 maybe try dropping one? ... if you’ve already done that, do you have a bedtime routine so he knows to wind down etc? If so... I’m all out of suggestions 😂🙈

My LO sleep has stated to go a bit weird lately too! Maybe it’s the heat🤷‍♀️

Wish they could talk and tell us what’s wrong sometimes! Xx

Yeah he has the same pre bed routine since he was a baby. I think he’s trying to drop a nap but he then gets so overtired in the afternoon if he doesn’t nap. He’s up about 6am, then naps at 10 ish to 11, then maybe naps in the afternoon but I’ve started waking up after 30 mins to see if it helps his sleep. It’s like he is wired all the time😩. X

My lb is 18 months and is doing the same he has done it since he was about 16 months old . I've had him in a bed time routine since he was a baby I still take him for a nap and bed at same time might take me an hour to get him to sleep but dont want to break the routine.... I think it's just a thing they go through. Hope he settles down for you soon x

Fingers crossed it’s a quick stage he goes through lol. I’m knackered. Yeah I try and aim for 7-7.15 pm bedtime. I’ve tried earlier when he has missed an afternoon nap and he just wakes up more during the night.x

My lb only has one nap which is normally 11- 12 then he awake for the rest of day then I take him up at 7 and he still fights me lol.... I think it's like a growth spurt they go through at this sort of age.

I know what you mean about being tired some mornings my lb has me up at 4 and stays up. I'm hoping it dont last much longer I hope it dont last to long for you x

Any thoughts about moving bedtime? My lo is 19 months, he has one nap 11.45 till 1.30/2 and goes to bed 8pm, usually falls asleep by 8.30. He sleeps through till 7am.

They all go through stages though so could just be a case of pushing through it!
