Please can someone help, or is anyone else in the same boat.
My LG (17 months) used too love her veggies, but now will only eat broccoli when she feels like it. She loves fish cakes, fish fingers, sausages and that’s as far as it will go for meat.
She will demolish pasta bake, but I feel like she has the same dinners all the time. I’ve tried making things and she just screws her face up.
She loves her fruit, started giving her smoothies recently, which she loves.
Has or is anyone having the same problem x

Hey. I've had a similar problem with my 5 year old. She likes pasta, sausages, fish fingers and chicken nuggets. She won't venture out to anything else. I've just decided that as long as she's eating what she likes she's fine. I chop cucumber up on the side of her meals and I've found hidden vegetable pasta is good to get veggies in. Just blend any veggies into the pasta sauce and they can't tell! I also put brocoli into her macaroni cheese. She also loves fruit so I'm happy about that...
Now and then something I do is go out and buy different fruits and veggies and we do 'taste tests' she's alot older so she watches YouTube and she will try new things if we make it fun.
Have you seen the veggie puffs/veggie sticks you can buy for toddlers? They're all natural, basically puffed rice and veggies. I really like them myself and my 5 year old still eats them They're like crisps but much healthier and its a good way to get veggies in too!
But ultimately don't worry. As long as they're eating something they're fine! Their pallet will change as they get older. My 5 year old used to love things she now hates and she hates things she used to love! They're taste buds change and their needs etc as they grow x
Thank you. That’s what I say, as long as she’s eating something. I have hidden veg in with pasta, but she found them lol. But I never thought of blending it in 🙉 will try that next time.
Yes we all love the veggie sticks lol. She will eat crisps like there’s no tomorrow, but then when I was pregnant was I eating crisps like there’s no tomorrow lol.
Yes I think they all go through that at some point - my little girl now 4 won't eat many vegetables - only broccoli - but I am lucky she loves her fruit and will eat apples , oranges, bananas , blueberries, grapes etc . My baby boy nearly 1 won't eat certain veg now - but still loves broccoli , and again he loves fruit. But if you blend some veg and mix it into a sauce - like pasta they dot know they are eating it.
My little boy can be fussy, do you follow Joe wicks? He (and experts) say to just keep feeing them different foods, if that don't eat it don't offer an alternative. So that's what I'm doing. He ate green beans for the first time yesturday!
When he was little I became a bit obsessed with him getting the right amount of milk and then food.. I'm determined not to do that this time!
No I don’t follow him, but I will do. See I like to offer alternative as I don’t like her going hungry (I know I shouldn’t) she’s just gone of her veg, but will eat all her fruit. She did surprise us last night and ate some burger 😮
I was very obsessed when she stopped drinking milk (at 9 months) I was really bad and stressing over it. then I was like I have too stop this. x
It's personal preference of course re offering alternatives.
Oh god i was awful, including adding milk to his yoghurts, melting rusks, adding it in to his dinners even! It's laughable now but at the time was so stressful
