Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone received a high risk result from their NT scan? What was your pregnancy like and what was the outcome? Also, how was your care?

Anticipating any replies.

Regards,

D x

Mine was high too. I decided to pay for the harmony blood test as I didn’t want any invasive procedures. That result came back 99% chance that everything was fine. It put my mind at rest and I could enjoy the rest of my pregnancy. I now have a 10 week old boy. It really put my mind at rest xx

mine came back as 1:41 and I decided to have a private harmony test and that came back with low risk so it really put me at ease. I am now 33 weeks and pregnancy has been fine. The screening is not a diagnostic test so isn’t conclusive, my age alone put me in the high risk bracket and a lower Pappa-a added to it. Have you been offered any further tests? There is a great website called ARC and I found it really helpful to read the information on there. X

Hi Marie,

Sorry for the late reply as I’m just seeing this. I was booked in Scotland and received my screen there so I wasn’t offered the Quad here in England. They suggested the amnio but as I suffered a miscarriage last year, my husband and I decided not to.

Honestly, after doing some additional reading, I decided not to worry and after having a normal 20-week private scan yesterday, I feel reassured.

Thanks again and congrats! x

Mine came back 1 in 47 DS. Paid for private blood test as anything invasive was not an option for me due to 2 losses including a loss at 19 weeks. Private bloods came back as 1 in 10000 or less chance. At my private test the sonographer said that the nhs scan is slightly outdated and that baby had a nasal bone which automatically reduced the chances of down syndrome by a 3rd I think she said. She also said baby was perfect size (2 days ahead) and its uncommon to see them measuring as they should and they are normally small for dates. There seem to be a lot of high risk results with the nhs test, its needs updating really
