Bleeding at 6 weeks

I am writing this for reassurance/ advice as I am fed up of the worry daily.

I found out I was pregnant a few days after my missed period, excited as it is the first time.

The first couple of days I had some brown spotting very little I wasn’t overly concerned as I thought implantation bleeding. After those 2 days the bleed got heavier as in not just a couple of spots but it was still brown. I waited a few more days and I had a bit of a gush in the morning. I booked an appointment with the doctor. She said it could be a threatened miscarriage and to rest at home. I have done this but the last couple of days my bleed has changed from brown to pinky/ red and heavier.

Strange thing is it doesn’t go into my pad. It is only there when I wipe? No clots.

I have repeated pregnancy tests every 3/4 days and it is still strong positive. Week indicator has gone up. I am in no pain at all nor have I had any cramping.

I feel nauseous and boobs are sore!

I have booked a private scan next Friday but I can’t worry for another week.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar , should I still have hope ?

So sorry to hear you’re going through this worry. I had a similar exp during week 5 for me. I’ve got a scan next Thursday (week 7) and haven’t had any bleeding since (I also only had it when I wiped). I think there’s still good signs you’ve mentioned that suggest it might not be a miscarriage eg sore boobs, nausea etc. - some blood during early stages is v common so stay positive and see how your scan goes xxxx

Hi, unfortunately for me it was a miscarriage, sorry , but I would still give you hope , as for one of my friends , she bleeded for 8 months and she had a successful delivery with a baby in her arms ..but take total rest please , see what doctor has to say , all the pregnancy symptoms will stay for some time, as hormone level is high All the best
