Problems with Joie Spin 360

Has anyone else encountered problems with the seatbelt on the Joie Spin 360 car seat?

My son is 9kg and 11 months old, we initially used it without the newborn insert but have had to put it back in which unfortunately still hasn't helped the problem, and now I'm starting to wonder if his shoulders are too narrow for it. No matter how tight we fit the seatbelt, one of the straps always seems to fall off one shoulder. I've also found that when he falls asleep in it, he's always slumped head forward and facing down....could this just be the way he has chosen to sleep? I've tried the recline feature which doesn't make much of a difference to his sleep position.

Thank you x

Not sure about the shoulders although I always put on tighten a little and then have to adjust as the can slip slightly but never off the shoulder. My LG does tend to slump forward as well when she falls asleep. She always has in her car seats x

You can buy a head strap that is comfy and put it on the head rest of the car seat and the padded bit on their forehead when they fall asleep. It keeps them upright in their seat. My son always fell forward when he was asleep in any car seat. I got mine on Amazon. It’s elasticated and adjustable.

Hello! My son is 9 months old and we use the same seat. What we did was lift the head rest which pulled up the straps and stopped them from falling down. I’m also thinking of using thinner pads as the pads seem so thick. Have you tried just using the back insert? My sons head is not slumped even when I put him to sit upright.

Have you noticed that the seat is quite wobbly? This is my concern! Like if we go over a bump the seat tends to shake and you can hear it. It may just be my seat but I’m not sure.

We lifted the head rest as you said and it's great now.... done two journeys and so far no belt slipping down so thank you!! Yes, we have noticed a wobble. Unfortunately the design of our estate doesn't allow us to use those plastic bits that we're provided with the seat to allow for better isofix installation so we hope that isn't a factor. xx

Oh that’s brilliant. We couldn’t use the plastic parts either, glad my seat isn’t broken.
