I’m guessing heat rash?

She doesn’t have a temperature. Isn’t off her food. Hasn’t been lethargic. We stripped her off just before her tea this evening and noticed the rash. She doesn’t seem ill (touch wood) in any way. The “glass test” was fine. She’s only had a vest and nappy on all day.

Hi 👋 Looks like prickly heat to me. My 4mo has it too. Once the rash clears in a day or two it will probably go very dry and scaly. I’ve just been putting moisturiser on her at night to help with the dryness. She is a bit prone to it in the folds of her neck too!

The NHS has a great page on baby rashes

You might need to copy and paste it.

Thank you xx

It looks like it to me and like what the other lady said. My LG always seems to suffer from this and always makes me panic and get the glass out ASAP xx

Could also be a dermatitis rash. Try some dermaid (over counter at chemist) or could even be whatever laundry products you're using.

My LO, 15 months old gets rashes on his back and tummy. He used to suffer from atopic eczema so any rashes would raise alarm in our home. We send his picture to our dermatologist and she mention it's probably heat rash. No fever and it does not react to it (he doesn't scratch, etc.). I do notice my LO still can't sweat yet and his very sensitive to change in weather.

For any rashes, we monitor the progress on daily basis, minimal layer of moisturiser, as it may irritate or plug his skin pores, keep his skin cool and I try to change his vest often, especially after a walk outside and he feels hot.

I hope you will see improvement soon on your LO's skin.

My little girl got this last year and has it now, was quite bad so we put calomine lotion on it, which is clearing it up. It doesn’t bother her either, which is great. She gets on her front, under chin, shoulders and neck x
