How accurate have you found clearblue week indicator tests?

I spoke to a midwife today and she said going from dates I would be roughly 6-7 weeks pregnant but im only getting 1-2 weeks on the clearblue test that's morning and evening testing, anyone had the same? Thanks.

The clear blue test shows your date since conception, the midwife goes from the first date of your last period. You'll have a dating scan at 12 weeks and they can adjust your estimated due date.

Yeah I'm aware of that, was just a little confused because if I conceived 1-2 weeks ago I'd only be 3-4 weeks pregnant not 6/7. Thanks for the response x

They use the date as the first day of your last period, not at the end of it. Because it’s from conception (which would usually be around week 3-4) the clear blue test would be estimating you are anywhere between 4 and 6 weeks pregnant which is around where your midwife is placing the estimate. Plus you could have ovulated earlier or later than usual and the egg may not implant straight away. Your dates will likely change when you have your 12 week scan x

I think they can be unreliable sometimes with the indicator so I wouldn’t focus too much on that xx

Morning lovely, when did you first take the week detector test?

I would do another one again next week to see if it’s gone up, which i prayer for you it has hun.. & if it goes to 2-3 weeks, you know your calculations are correct & the midwife may be slightly out as the hormone level reflects what is revealed on the week indicator & you may of just ovulated at a completely different time than expected.

You will truly know when you have your 12 week scan but appreciate this may feel like forever away yet.

mine said 3+ weeks so i thought i was a week more than what i actually was when i paid for a private scan..

My clear blue was pretty accurate my dates from my period is what was out, maybe ovulated later then expected so therefor dates would be out, well thats what happened with me anyway 🙈
