Hi I’m not single or pregnant but as we have a baby we have been actively avoiding shops & only one of us will go if absolutely necessary.
I now stay up until midnight once a week to secure a Tesco booking slot as they are released then & go rapidly I don’t know if that is an option for you.
I’m glad your friends and family are helping you out it must be very stressful to be pregnant in this environment .
All the best with your pregnancy stay safe xxx
Hi I’m not single, but I don’t let my husband to go to the shops. I use deliveroo to order little groceries like milk, and etc and Ocado for big grocery shops. I assume it depends where you live. My building also had volunteers that are happy to do a food shopping for vulnerable like yourself. Have you tried to investigate if there are any volunteers in your area? I recommend to avoid shops or wear gloves, a mask and glasses if you really need to go.
I'm six months pregnant, not single either but due to lockdown isolation can't see partner as he lives in another town. I live with Mum and we still shop once a week keeping to social distancing rules also. She can't shop alone as would struggle with the food shopping pushing the trolley and packing our trolley we use. *neither of us drive so walk to a supermarket 10 minutes away.* There's nothing to say you can't shop tbh, and if you use precautions, i.e. 2m distancing, wash hands and wipe trolleys or baskets down with wipes etc, you'll be reducing any contact risks. It's up to you, I'm more concerned when I catch my buses to midwife apt tbh.
Thanks that's helpful
I’m 25 weeks - still shopping and working...... the guidelines say there is no more of a risk than anyone else up until 28 weeks (third trimester) when you should stop and self isolate as much as possible.
You can find up dated guidelines on the RCOG website.

Around where I live the council have a scheme to help vulnerable people with getting shopping. My nan found out about it but doesn't need it at the moment as her sister helps her. It might be worth looking at what your local council can offer.
To be honest I have only known one person to get cronona and I live in a hotspot area although, I don't live in a city . But, that was probably because they were going to loads of job interviews in different Care Homes before the lockdown came in.
Ive seen by your previous posts that you are a single mum by choice. I am also a SMBC to a 6 month old. I live in the West Midlands.
Hi, I'm not pregnant but I am a single mum to an 11 month old. My family and friends have done the majority of my shopping for me, I did manage to get a click and collect order for today so I am going to pick that up but will be the first time I've gone out (other than for a walk) in 4 weeks and as its collection my little boy won't have to get out the car.
Its lovely your friends and family are helping but like other have suggested might be worth checking with the council etc if they have volunteers who could help. I live in a small village and we have a Facebook group and volunteers on each street for the elderly/vulnerable.
Its such a stressful time, all the best with the rest of your pregnancy x
Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions. I'll try tesco at midnight and volunteers,, if not sainsbury vulnerable hour. Did try Co op but there was no queue management.
Asda realease new slots at 10pm too x
I would definitely try volunteers, I work for a local council and there is literally an army of people out there ready to help out. I received a letter from my local council with a telephone number on, hopefully you did too. Good luck and stay safe.
