Bump not growing

Hi, I am 37 weeks today and I went to see my midwife. She has booked me in for an emergency growth scan tomorrow as 2 weeks ago my bump measured at 34.4 but it’s now measuring at 34. Should I be worried about this? Has anyone experienced this?

Measurements can be really out. Even growth scans aren't that accurate. I had a late growth scan due to gestational diabetes which suggested baby would be in the 7lb 8 range and she was born the day before her due date at 6lb 1.

If you're still getting lots of good movement and I'm assuming midwife listened to heartbeat then it may not be anything too much to worry about.

I was induced just before my due date as on my last scan she hasn't grown as much as they'd expected and were worried my placenta might not have been supplying enough to keep her growing, if this is the same for you them your scan tomorrow can look at your placenta health, and make a decision based on that whether it's best for baby to induce you.

Thanks for the advice! She was perfectly fine according to the scan I just got worried thinking the worse but I think anyone else would do the same! X

Really glad to hear the scan went well. I think anyone would be worried under the circumstance for sure.

Nice that you got to see her again though, not that you can see much at 37 weeks, I had extra scans with the GD and she was so squished at 37 weeks 😁
