Second Pregnancy within a year

I have become pregnant within a year of birth of my first child. To be precise, it's 7 month gap. I am over 40 as well. I had waited a long time in my life to become pregnant. Now I have two successive pregnancies. Though I am happy about the pregnancy, I am bit worried as well. In the first place, I am losing energy in looking after my first child who is now 9 months old. Anyone with similar experience, please share. Any useful tips are also welcome.

I can't offer much in the way of advice & tips, but I know how your feeling. I found out I'm expecting number 3 while number 2 was 11months old. He's 17months now & im exhausted! We haven't yet reached a point where he sleeps through so quite often ends up in my bed- I can't remember the last time I actually had a good nights sleep. My iron levels have dropped a bit so that's not helping either.

Hope your feeling well otherwise xx

I had my first at 34 and second at 36. My second is 4,5 months now. My toddler is a total wildling - tornado type of boy who still is sleeping poorly.

. I was so worried how I'll cope with both, but my girl is so calm. She falls asleep by herself without training, she slept first night through - The X-mas night and did it all last week!

I hope your baby will be calm and easy going so you'll be fine with both of them.

PS: this pregnancy will pass so quickly , just be patient during this period! You're pregnant, making a human in your body, so it's natural you're tired. After giving birth the hormones will kick in and you'll have more energy !

Congratulations 🙂 the only advice have is to rest at every opportunity. Your little one is young enough to establish passive time routines, snuggles, books, activities. Get cosy together and snatch those moments. When No2 arrives, you will find your groove, all will be well.
