Son is out growing moses basket. What next?

Excuse me for maybe asking a silly question here but my son will outgrow his moses basket very soon/ showing signs of rolling. Seen as I use this A LOT so I can put him down to sleep and even just put him down so I can clean, what are my other options once its outgrown? I have a chicco next 2 me in my bedroom but seen as I use the moses basket for everything can i start to use a travel cot for daytime naps and putting him down instead of putting him upstairs and having my baby monitor?

I'm a first time mum so this is all new to me!

Thank you xx

We went from Moses basket to the chicco next to me before my LG went into her cot bed at 6 months x

Sorry if I sound silly but would you put your little one up there even if she wasnt sleepy? thats what I don't understand is that my son doesnt sleep all day between feeds and if im not playing with him and I do housework he goes in the basket! Would you still put her in the chicco then as well? Or use a jumperoo or something? I probably sound so clueless here lol. thank you xx

We are in a flat so if it was me she would probably be in there as would be near enough in the same room but maybe your little one could go on a play gym? My LG loved hers and always went to sleep on it as well xx

I never thought about that! That would be a good idea. Yes we live in a 3 story town house so my sons nursery is on the 3rd floor! Thank you for your help xx

We also used her bath chair to sit in which is the angelcare one where they are nearly lying down. She loved that x

We got a jumperoo and my 4 month old loves hers, we only use it for about 10 minutes max and in the same room as me but she really enjoys it.

She isn't a great sleeper but I put her in her buggy if she falls asleep downstairs.

No the chair bit, she absolutely hated being in the pram bit from day 1!

Hi, thanks for asking this question as I’ve deliberated over how many sleep items to buy. I figured I’d have a cot for her nursery, a next to me in our bedroom and also a Moses basket or something similar in the living room when downstairs. I may also consider some of the suggests in this thread. Thank you...x

I have a little chair that my baby goes in while I do housework, also a swing , he is 4 months and sleeps in a cot at night but I still use my Moses basket downstairs so he can have a little lie down and sometimes he naps in that. He is growing out of his soon but its so handy to have....

Also just introduced him to my daughters old jumperoo and he seems to love it. But I don't let him stay in it too long as he still isn't sitting up so I have to watch him in it for now. But definitely the little chair gets most use and I put him in that while I have a bath too and he sits in the bathroom with me.
